Episode 4

The highs and lows of online life with Fiona Thomas

This week we're joined by freelancer Fiona Thomas to discuss how having a mental breakdown led to a new career as a writer and the publication of her first book, Depression in a Digital Age. She's currently writing a guide to freelancing due for release in 2020. In the intro, we're discussing Holly Bourne's How Do You Like Me Now, David Burton's Man in the Water and Iliza Shlesinger's UnVeiled. Interview with Fiona starts at 18:10.

Thanks to Trigger Publishing for providing a copy of the book in preparation for the interview.

Hi, I'm Caitlin! I've been on bookstagram since 2016, a podcaster since 2017, and worked in publishing since 2019. So books and reading are my entire life. When I'm not reading, I like listening to Taylor Swift, watching sitcoms, and generally being a theatre kid.

Hi, I'm Michelle! I'm an Aussie living in the UK, working as a bookseller. I'm obsessed with storytelling in all its forms – I spend as much time watching TV or listening to podcasts as I do reading. Other hobbies include bouldering, hiking and generally obsessing about my pug Percy.
